A family favourite: The Cobberdog
61% of households across Australia have domestic pets like cats and dogs — that’s three in five! If you are looking to become one of those three by introducing a furry friend into your family, you don’t have to look much farther than the Sunny Coast.
It’s a great choice to adopt or rescue a dog from any of the rescue organisations (1 , 2, 3) in Queensland, but unfortunately sometimes there’s things that can make this impossible. Some families need temperate dogs that can handle loud, busy households, other pets or to work around allergies and maintenance. If you’re one of those people, there’s no need to fret, let us introduce you to our friends at Ridgy Didge Cobberdogs.
Ridgy Didge Cobberdogs is an ethically run, local Sunshine Coast breeder. It is run by Robyn and Greg, a couple who have been involved with dogs and other animals their whole lives. They started out with German Shepherds before looking to find something a bit easier to maintain. Despite the loyal and loveable nature of German Shepherds, Robyn and Greg wanted to find a dog breed that was easier to care for as they got older.
Cobberdogs are a hidden gem breed in Australia that have beautiful, lucious coats in varying shades of brown, gold and blonde. On top of being handsome, their coats are low-shedding and allergy friendly. They’re ideal for families with young children or the elderly due to their laidback and gentle nature. Originally bred for medical alert and service jobs, these dogs go above and beyond loyalty. As family pets, they bring a special care and willingness to connect that’s unique to this breed! Being bred with the guidance of Master Dog Breeders and Associates and going above and beyond the Queensland State and Local Government Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice for welfare, keeping, breeding, management and sales of dogs.
At Bella and Boots, we care deeply for the welfare and quality of life of all dogs across the country and would not promote or highlight a company or organisation we do not, wholeheartedly, believe in. Ensure that when you adopt a puppy from Cobberdogs, or another reputable breeder along the Sunshine Coast, you’re giving them the best of everything — that includes their food!
Our Bella and Boots food packs are great for new puppies, to help promote gut, heart, dental, coat and skin health and prevent future allergies or joint pain. All of the benefits of raw food are laid out on the website and only a click away! For dogs (or cats, for that matter) who are being introduced to a raw food diet, our favourite vets at The Natural Vetsuggest transitionary meals with 100% organic bone broth for your pup. We want to make the transition easy for you, which is why when you buy our starter trial packs, we will include in-house organic bone broth in your order.
